Welcome to the McKinney Quilters Guild
The McKinney Quilters Guild exists to bring together people who share a love of quilts and quilting. Together we learn from national and local quilt teachers and speakers and share our work with each other and the community. All levels of quilters are encouraged to join us.
We meet on the third Tuesday of the month at the First Christian Church at 1800 W. Hunt Street in McKinney, Texas.

Rosie The Redwork Lady presents "Redwork Legacy"
Rosie deLeon-McCrady first learned to appreciate redwork from her mother-in-law Kathleen McCrady. The two are so close that Rosie calls her Mom. Kathleen is one of Texas’ most treasured quilters and historians, and at 96, says that quilting has been an integral part of her life for 80 years. The two adore antique redwork. They have a stunning collection of this timeless art and priceless memories of family vacations that always included a pit stop for quilts. Will have cash and carry items for sale at the meeting.
August 20th Workshop
10am – 4pm
at Not Your Mama's Quilt Store
$30 Kit (Check or Exact Change to sign up)
The workshop is on how to do Redwork on your domestic machine! She can also give tips on handwork, but in this workshop use the “triple stitch” on your machine to achieve results that look like handwork. If you have an older machine the stitch may be called a “stretch stitch.” It’s the one that goes forward/backward/forward to make a thicker stitch. You only need to be able to do a straight stitch. Supply list furnished at sign up table.
